“My anchor during the volatility of 2020 has been my morning pranayama (breath work) and meditation practice. The more unsettled I feel about waking up, the better I feel when I'm finished... EVERY... SINGLE... TIME... This practice gives tools to ground and center ourselves, open our blind spots and clear out what we no longer need. I want to hold space for you as we enter the new year.” — instructor Jenny Coffey

Beginning Friday, January 8 and every following Mon/Wed/Fri through January 29, we will gather via livestream at 8AM EDT for a 20-minute pranayama and meditation practice.

If 8AM is not convenient, classes are recorded, emailed to you and can be watched at your leisure.

Our sessions will be focused on dynamic breath work, designed to light a fire underneath you, to clean out the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors of our bodies, and to oxygenate our brains to create a path towards stillness. As long as a you have a comfortable place to sit, whether it's in your office or at home, you have what it takes.

Ten minutes before the class starts, we will email you a link to access and join the class .Our series will culminate on Friday, January 29 at 6PM in the Clintonville BIG studio (also streamed online), with Flow into Pranayama + Meditation. In this 60-minute class, we will spend the first half in a physical full-body practice to warm up our joints and flow through a moving meditation. The second half of class will be seated and focused on energetic breath work to invigorate, contain, and awaken our body and minds. Finally we will end with stillness and meditation.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Jenny has been a yoga practitioner since 2006 and received her 200-hour certification in 2015. Her passion is Vinyasa Yoga, connecting movement to breath. If you’ve practiced in a room with Jenny, you’ve definitely heard her breathe; the Ujjayi Pranayama (Victorious Breath) is what she believes allows us to grow in our physical yoga practice. Jenny’s classes are energetic and she creates a safe space to get “weird,” no matter what your experience.
