Yoga 101 | Livestream
Wednesdays, January 6, 13 + 20, 5:30 - 6:45PM
Investment: $50
Begin 2021 with a commitment to curiosity and explore peeling back the layers through the foundational practices of yoga. Yoga 101 is a basics series that is anything but “basic.” Over three weeks, we will build a solid physical foundation through yoga postures, while also exploring breath practices to bring each shape to life, and meditation to become more familiar with our own mind. Each session will illuminate one of the philosophical threads of the Yoga Sutras and the ethical practices of the Yamas and Niyamas such that these life practices can be taken off the mat and incorporated into your daily life. This series welcomes anyone interested in exploring the fundamentals of yoga. Whether you are completely new to the practice, in need of some inspiration or the structure to restart, or simply ready to return to the roots of the practice and refine.
WHAT YOU NEED: Come to each session prepared to take notes and dress so that you can move freely. We recommend a yoga mat, two yoga blocks (or a stack of sturdy books!), a blanket or towel, and a pillow to support a comfortable seat.
DETAILS: This series will meet via livestream on Wednesdays, January 6, 13, 20 from 5:30-6:45PM and is $50 for the series. Ten minutes before the class starts, we will email you a link to access and join the class.
